Discuss five (5) ways in which the mass media has influenced the Ghanaian culture..

According to Macionis “culture as the values, beliefs, behavior and material objects that constitute peoples way of life.” Culture embodies the totality of man in all spheres of life. Everything people do is culture since our behavior tells where one comes from. so Ghanaian culture has been changing over the time with the impact of electronic media and mass media with widespread of the internet. it has been highly influenced by western culture. so some of the prominent changes which can be found in Ghanaian culture been discussed below:

1. fashion(Dress): due to mass media impact Ghanaian dressing culture been dominated by Americans and other influence fashions. so slowly they are forgetting their own traditional dressing style.

2. Traditional language (twi): Now Ghanaian more exposed to the western world and language and adaptation also very fast so traditional language value is deteriorating very fastly.

3. Traditional Knowledge (on trade): youngsters use to learn traditional processes of trade skills from their elders but due to modernization through media, it became more westernized.

4. tradition and customs: Due to the heavy influence of mass media the tradition and custom-like marriage, funeral ceremonies and other aspects getting changed.

5. lifestyle: Mass media impacted a lot on the lifestyle of Ghanaians. they are quickly adopting the western culture ad life style preferred over  traditional one.
