1.The polio virus can destroy the cells in the anterior horns of the spinal gray matter. Discuss the problems encountered if the anterior horns of the spinal gray matter are damaged.
2.Define nerve plexus, and list the major nerve plexuses.
3.Compression of which nerve produces the sensation that your lower limb has “fallen asleep”?
please type it
1. The anterior horn of the spinal cord contains cell bodies of alpha motor neurons, which innervate skeletal muscle to cause movement. It also contains gamma motor neurons, which are involved in regulating muscle spindle sensitivity. So if the anterior horns of the spinal gray matter are damaged, there will be flaccid asymmetric weakness and muscle atrophy due to loss of motor neurons and denervation of their associated skeletal muscles.
2. Nerve Plexus is the branching network of intersecting nerves that serves a particular region of the region.
Coccygeal Plexus—Serves a Small Region over the Coccyx.
3. Mostly SCIATIC NERVE is compression produces fallen asleep lower limb.
