2. Detroit has many hospitals such as DMC, Henry Ford, Beaumont, UM, etc. Do you think Detroit is experiencing "The Field of Dreams"?

3. If answered yes to #2, then why are there still disparities in health care in Detroit. is there a reason why you think the "Field of Dreams" left this part of the region out?

If answered no to #2 and knowing that our area has disparities in health care, what do you think could be done to close these gaps? Is there a way to attract more health care professionals in Detroit?

1)There is a term that has been coined by researches as "Field of dreams" Effects. "Field of dreams" is a 1989 American drama film about a basketball player. In between 1994 and 1995,there has been many deaths of Medicare aided patients. This has been directly proportional to the number of hospital beds per thousands of residents in the community. This has been compared to the film. Physicians frequently fail to meet the patient demands and even restrain themselves from getting trained and this is directly affecting the healthcare system.

2) If the demands are properly filled by the city of Detroit, then patients will eventually go to the hospital for treatment. But eventually with the hike in price tags of healthcare system, patients are restraining themselves from visiting there. So, eventually in a way they are losing customers. They are lacking optimisation to run the hospitals. So, in a way they are experiencing Field of dreams effects.
