Critically evaluate the significant characteristics of effective project teams and explain how each characteristic would benefit projects
An effective project team should possess the following characteristics and the strength or the benefits the characteristics provide:
1. Clear and defined Objectives or goals - If the objectives and goals are clearly defined in a project team then the team is aware of what they are responsible of and the actions of the team will be strictly goal oriented.
2. Clear and defined role and responsibilities - Each and every team member needs to be aware of the of their roles and responsibilities that they need to have which will segregate each and every item of the project and increase productivity and performance.
3. Communication - The team should follow an effective communication process so that there is trust and bonding in the team which will help ensure that the whole team is in sync.
4. Decision Making and Problem solving - The ability is most important in the team and the team should be able to provide more than one option or suggestion or idea which will make the team take the right decisions.
5. Conflict Management - Conflict in a team is quite inevitable and it is normal but it should be managed effectively so that the team atmosphere is positive throughout.
