Quantitative measurement involves running statistical analysis on data that has numerical values. There are two type of quantitative data: Discrete and continuous. Discrete data can take on only integer values whereas continuous data can take on any value.
Qualitative measurement looks for patterns in non-numerical data. There are two type of qualitative data: Nomilal and Ordinal. Nominal variables are used to “name,” or label a series of values. Ordinal scales provide good information about the order of choices.
(a) We would be collecting Quantitative discrete data. For example: 5, 10
(b) We would be collecting Qualitative Nominal data. For example: Green, blue, black
(c) We would be collecting Qualitative Nominal data. For example: Coke, pepsi
(d) We would be collecting Quantitative discrete data. For example: 200, 250
(e) We would be collecting Qualitative Nominal data. For example: Yes, No
