Discuss in detail when the cast-iron stove came on the market and its advantages over the open hearth.
The Cast Iron Stoves were ready by 1000AD but were mass used in England post 1700AD and reached the US in the 1800s. Previously open fire with heath shaped wood fired and coal supplemented hearths were easy to build and abandon, were of use. Benjamin Franklin developed his first cast iron stove called Pennsylvania fire, in 1744. This was a major boost for industrial production where the cast iron stoves used to use its slow airflow. 1970 came up with environmental pollution laws to control the chimneys which made the cast iron see more of innovation for maximum fuel use. The cast-iron stoves used nearly 3% to as low as 0.002% carbon to make the irons for such cast iron stoves previously, heavy but of good utility to the users.
