Explanation in detail about the types of benefits
contributed to the enterprise by Information Technology (IT), with
illustrated examples, and applications:
In general, the types of benefits IT provides and offers to the
enterprises are:
IT, in turn, uses all other types of
technologies.
IT integrates and works well with other
technologies.
IT facilitates many works, operations, monitoring,
administration, management, processes, tasks, jobs, actions,
etc.
It helps in foreseeing things, pattern, anomalies,
thus predicting the future outcomes analyzing,
based on previous and existing data.
IT helps us by recommending suitable, related,

possibilities, solutions, and decisions.
It helps employees in enterprises in strategic
thinking.
It helps enterprises' decision-making capabilities and
functionalities, providing differently feasible, possible,
positive, and successful options.

almost many activities and works to be done virtually, from a given
place without someone ever required to physically move to another
place.
Provides comfort.
It provides benefits to streamlining
communication.
IT stores, manipulates, and protects critical and
valuable information, making it meaningful and durable, and later
providing it to use making it available and
accessible.
It eliminates wastes.
It is eco-friendly, as in, IT does not or uses the
least amount of papers to store information in them, thus stopping
the cutting of trees, and making it environment-friendly.
Most of the IT systems, components, devices, and machines are
lightweight.
IT systems, components, devices, and machines require less
space on the ground, under the ground, in the air, in
water, and almost everywhere.
IT makes work and services seamless.
Provides benefits to different people in enterprises for their
collaboration in work.
It benefits differently-abled people to use
them and the services related to IT, and the services
provided by IT.
Efficiency is improved at workplaces.
So is the effectiveness of the work, as well as in
economics, and the respective outcomes (positively).
IT provides reliability in systems, work,
services, and resources.
IT ensures there is always a high availability of
the services, resources, operations, and support.
Provides backup services and solutions. Example:
Data backups and restore in the event of disaster recovery
strategies.
Provides advantages in terms of competitiveness over the
opponents or competitors in the industry or market.
Saves a lot of money, reducing the cost and the overall
cost of the IT operations and even the core business of
enterprises.
IT systems are used to achieve high accuracy in
many work and services.
Work can be accomplished with outcomes with
precision.
IT speeds up almost any work tremendously.
Saves time with less consumption of time.
It makes work, tasks, projects, processes, operations,
calculations, analyses, and computations
easier.
IT is advantageous over many other services,
technologies, and solutions.
IT brings in improvements in businesses,
operations, marketing, selling, processes, development, designing,
deployments, implementations, support, delivery, and everyday
usages of services, products, and IT products.

more profitable, appreciable, admirable, and impressive.
It makes enterprises to exploit services,
resources, and actual work.
IT offers enablement to enterprises in many works
and things.
Using IT there is overall profitability in
enterprises.
Hence, IT contributes to different types of benefits, from different perspectives, for different purposes, and for different aspects of professional work and personal life.
Example: IT storage devices such as hard disks, flash drives to store information instead of writing or printing them on physical papers, thus saving a lot of space, money, making it eco-friendly, and saving energy.
Another example: In communications, IT provides applications such as chat software, email services, solutions, web and mobile applications, VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol), etc for the people to communicate amongst themselves about work and for anything that is work-related in enterprises.
IT's applications are in education, hospitality, defense, IT, software, hardware, networking, transportation, space, archaeology, agriculture, e-commerce, finance, banking, marketing, selling, mainly in operations, development, and different functions and departments in enterprises, etc.
