IT governance is a structural framework to provide organizational structure for obtaining business objectives by Information Technology support.It varies between different organizations with various factors like industry related structures, internal politics of organizations and other business related activities. Information Technology consists of various hardware components, software , data storage and telecommunications.
Many real life examples are using this concept to provides
various kind of business practices. For example Audit, Compliance,
Capability management, Financial governance, Information
governance, IT practices, Knowledge management etc.
Some of the areas are explained in detail:
Knowledge Management
