Expert Solution

Chemotherapy administered in children via pill to swallow,IM injections, IV injection, Topical application and directly in to body cavity.childern responds to chemo better than adults.

Same like any other we should have special attention treating the child.so we should have maintain a special consideration while treating the child.chemo kills cancer cell same time it can affect normal cell, this can lead to side effect.

So when we calculate the dosage we should have special attention.

Maintain a strict infection control practice is important

Make sure child is well hydrated before treatment

Consider a pediatrician support during treatment

Discuss the importance and side effect of medication with parents

Ask them to express their concerns if they have

Support the child and make a friendly atmosphere with kids before going to the treatment.

Inform them losing hair is normal in chemo and will be back after a few months after chemo

Monitor the side effect of the medication
