Example : Male , Female
Since, there is no order in the categories for Sex
So, Level of Measurement : Nominal
b. Race
Example : American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, Black or African American, Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander, and White.
Since, there is no order in the categories for Race.
Level of Measurement : Nominal
c. Highest educational degree earned
Example : Bachelor, Master, Doctoral etc.
Since, there is order in the categories for Highest educational degree earned
Level of Measurement : Ordinal
d. Hours worked per week
Example : 0 hours, 10 hours, 50 hours etc.
Hours is a ratio level of measurement because it has an absolute zero value and differences between values can be compared.
Level of Measurement : Ratio
e. Age at first marriage
Example : 23 years , 30 years etc
A person who is 30 years old is half as old as someone who is 60, and twice as old as someone who is 15.
Level of Measurement : Interval
