Employee’s performance are very tricky to measure sometimes, the performance of employees which can be easily observed or can be noticed can be awarded easily, but performance of those employees which cannot be measured creates problem, he or she may feel biased in the organization. Performance management system suffers from the biasness among the employees as such Performance management system is designed to improve the efficiency and the effectiveness of the organization but when biasness occurs in the organization they feel demotivated and start losing trust in the organization.

Bias effects the performance management in the following ways –

  • Employees deviate from their roles and responsibilities.
  • The alignment with the strategic decision of the organization is distorted.
  • It hazes down the employee’s performance.
  • It creates hindrances in monitoring and measuring the organization goals.
  • Employees feels demotivated in the training and development process.
  • It does not recognizes employee’s accomplishment.
  • It ignores where employees and workers need specific training.
  • Opportunity of feedbacks and constructive ideas faces inefficiency.
