A research program or program is based on studies to find out the results that can answer the research problem, but evaluation focuses upon breaking up of the findings and drawing conclusion regarding its quality, effectiveness and adherence to the specification. So, program involves working as planned, whereas evaluation involves drawing conclusive outcome of different dimension regarding the work already done.

Statistics and Biostatistics provide necessary data, showing some trends that complement the learning from epidemiology .
