Explain your answers in 200 words.
There is a difference between hearing and listening.
Hearing can be considered just a plain act of receiving the sound signals or vibrations through the ear. So it just like the other senses of the body , so one would keep hearing things , even if he choses not to , it can just happen all the time. It is a involuntary action.
But when one focuses on what is spoken or said in a conversation , giving attention to details , it is a voluntary action which helps us to give a meaningful understanding to whatever we hear , it is called listening.
So when choses to listen , he also observes the body language of the person speaking in the conversation , his tone , his usgae of words and many different other things.
When siltting in a meeting , an efficient employee will always listen to the conversation or speech carefully , whereas the employee who has been forced to sit or compelled to take part in the meeting , just for the sake , will hear the things through the mere use of his ears and do not register any things in his brain.
