32.b) is converted to chymotrypsin by the action of trypsin.
Explanation-
The enzyme Chymotrypsinogen (inactive form )is secreted by the pancreas and travels to the stomach and gets activated by the enzyme trypsin ,then chemotrypsin digestive enzyme breaks down the protein into dipeptides and single amino acids. It uses protein as a primary substrate. Pancreatic lipases uses triglycerides as a substrate and catalyzes hydrolysis of the glycerol and long fattly acid chain.
33.C) reflexes that originate and are integrated in the enteric nervous system.
Explanation -
Slow wave arises as a rhythm in electrophysiology events in GI tract. The slow waves gets originated and travels through a pacemaker cells known as interstitial cells of cajal between nerves and smooth muscle cells.Slow wave generated by interstitial cells of cajal propagate into smooth muscle and promotes motility. The slow wave occurs in duodenum at 12 cycle per minute and reduces the wave frequecy as it goes down to the colon.
34.c) A and B are correct
Explanation-
At the testes ,the LH and FSH mediates their function thorugh different transmembrane receptors. FSH receptor gets expressed in the sertoli cells present within the seminiferous tubule where as LH receptor get expressed into the leydig cells.FSH directly involved in the process of spermatogenesis where as LH get involve in it via testosterone androgen receptor. Thus,LH plays a role in stimulation of secretion of testosterone.
35.A) somatostatin.
The pancreatic islet of langerhans consist of three types of cell and have their specific secretions. The alpha cells produce glucagon, beta cells secrete insulin along with amylin and delta cells secrete somatostatin hormones having specific functions. Pancreatic polypeptide gets secreted by the pancreatic PP cells present in head region of pancreas.
36.d. A, B and C above
The gonad including ovary and tetes has the primary function is to get involved in gametogenesis. The temperature regulation in male testes performed by the scrotumm as well ovary also helps in thermoregulation and provide optimum temperture for the develoment of follicles. The homeostatsis is promoted by the regulation of male and female ,testis and ovary producing hormones .
