1.(B).GALL BLADDER
Bile, or gall, is a dark-green-to-yellowish-brown fluid produced by the liver of most vertebrates that aids the digestion of lipids in the small intestine. In humans, bile is produced continuously by the liver (liver bile) and stored and concentrated in the gallbladder.
2(B) HYDROCHLORIC ACID
Pepsinogen is converted to pepsin, which digests proteins. Pepsinogen production is stimulated by the presence of gastrin in the blood. Hydrochloric acid (HCl), converts pepsinogen to pepsin, which breaks down proteins to peptides
3.(D) PROTEINS
Pepsin is an endopeptidase that breaks down proteins into smaller amino acids. It is produced in the chief cells of the stomach lining and is one of the main digestive enzymes in the digestive systems of humans and many other animals, where it helps digest the proteins in food.
4.(A) PAROTID GLAND
These are largest of the salivary glands, secreting saliva to facilitate mastication and swallowing, and amylase to begin the digestion of starches. It is the serous type of gland which secretes alpha-amylase (also known as ptyalin). It enters the oral cavity via the parotid duct.
5.(B)DUODENUM
Most water absorption takes place in the distal third of the small intestine, but the bulk of intestinal water is absorbed by the large intestine. However, Na+ and water absorption in the small intestine is important in absorption of nutrients and other ion.
