1. d) Stomach.
Gastrin is directly responsible for the release of gastric acid, it is a digestive hormone which is secreted by the wall of pyloric end of stomach and helps in gastric motility. Gastrin is released into the bloodstream when food enters the stomach.
2.d) stimulates secretion of bicarbonate from pancreas into duodenum
Secretin is synthesized and secreted by S cells in the small intestine and secretin is released in response to acid in the small intestine, and stimulates the pancreas and bile ducts to release bicarbonate which functions to neutralizes the acid.
3. a) trypsin.
Pancreatic juice is a liquid secreted by the pancreas, two major proteolytic enzyme produced by the pancreas include trypsin and chymotrypsin
4.a) Pepsinogen
Pepsinogen is converted into pepsin in presence of HCL.. HCL is secreted by parietal cells.
5) a) Small intestine
Digestion of carbohydrates begin in the mouth. in the small intestine carbohydrates are broken down into sugars, fats into fatty acids and glycerols and protein into amino acids.
6) c) stomach and small intestine
Pyloric sphincter is a ring of smooth muscle, It opens and closes to control the passage of partially digested food and stomach juices from the pylorus to the duodenum.
