What would be key considerations concerning number and type of questions to be asked (to get an adequate response rate), validity and reliability issues, and sampling size and design procedures? Are the free online tools useful to do serious research, or simply too limited? Be specific and use examples of the tools available on the marketplace.
The sampling design process includes five steps:define the target population, determine the sampling frame, select a sampling technique, determine the sample size execute the sampling process.Sample design decisions should be integrated with all other decisions in a research project.
Sample size refers to the number of elements to be included in the study.Important qualitative factors that should be considered in determining the sample size include the importance of the decision, the nature of the research, the nature of the analysis, sample sizes used in similar studies, and resource constraints. In general, the more information is needed, the more important the decision is, and the more sophisticated the research needs to be, the larger sample size is needed. However, the sample size decision should be guided by a consideration of the resource constraints, because any research have the limitation of time and money.
