Locate a website for an organization that hires graduates in your major. In addition to technical knowledge, what writing and communication skills does the organization seek in job candidates?

Reply to this instruction with a post to your classmates who share your major explaining what communication skills they require in order to be successful at a job in this or a similar organization. Your post should:

  • be completely in your own words (copied and pasted text from the site will not receive credit)inform detailed, useful information
  • be a minimum 200 words clearly name and reference your source(s) (no specific format required—just make the source information clear)
  • follow a logical pattern of organization
  • promote clarity and credibility of your information through effective design, grammar, *style, and *mechanics.

Make sure you title your post with the name of the organization and field for classmates’ easy reference when browsing the entries. Also, be prepared to discuss your findings in class

There are many large websites that hire Computer Science Engineers. One of them is Firstnaukri.com. This is a very large platform where all the companies post their vacancies to hire software engineers. In Computer Science Engineering, jobs can be of many types:

1. Software developers

2. Software Testers

3. Designers

4. Client Support etc.

All of these jobs have certain set of skills required from the candidate.

My friend Utkarsh Gupta works in TCS. He works as a Data Scientist there. When I asked him about the procedures and all the requirements to get a job there, he told me that employers are looking to hire employees who have two different types of skills: Soft skills and hard skills. Hard skills refer to skills such as technical skills, training material, etc whereas soft skills refer to skills such as communication, leadership, time management, etc. He told me that Technical Knowledge is very important to have a great job in your hands. Apart from technical skills, there are many skills that an organization seeks in a job candidate which are as follows:

1. Communication Skills: A candidate must able to communicate effectively — both verbally and in writing. Those with strong communication skills are in high demand. The candidate must be able to communicate properly with clients, Hr managers, employees, and customers. Also, he or she must be able to communicate in writing, such as writing a professional email to a client or a manager.

2. Interpersonal Skills: The candidate must be able to easily connect with the people which can help then to get hired even if they do not have command on technical skills. These skills can help you show how great a leader you can be.

3. Analytical Skills: The candidates need to be able to find out a problem, think it through and find out the solution to the problems. To check these skills, various problem-solving questions might be asked to a job seeker.

4. Leadership skills: Large organizations seek employees that can properly interact with employees, customers, managers, etc. They want to hire candidates who can lead a team properly. The candidate should be able to make the work environment healthy and professional and should be able to fit in.

5. Time Management: The candidate must be able to meet the deadlines of the organization and should be able to complete the work within time.

After talking about all these and some more skills I found out that a job seeker must be prepared mentally and should be very well prepared in terms of all the aspects that a candidate is asked for.

Age - Quantitative vs Categorical 99 unread replies.99 replies. It's important to consider how a variable is being used when determining if it is quantitative or categorical. For example, a researcher can study blood pressure by recording the systolic followed by the diastolic pressure and then calculate statistics like the mean and median diastolic reading in millimeters of mercury (mm Hg). In this case, the researchers would be studying blood pressure as a quantitative variable. On the other hand, a...
