ANSWERS :
ANS1. A System analyst is basically a person who with the help of analysis and system design and anlysis solves the problem of the system or organisation.
Troubleshooting is identifying and diagonising the problem in a system to get the troublefree system back.
System Analyst should ask the following questions :
* Identification of problem : This means the analyst should ask about the symptoms that the employee of the organisation are facing, so as he/she will be able to identfy the problem as it is the bsic requrement for troubleshooting.
* Regarding possible cause : Once the problem has been identified the analyst will then give the possible cause of the system failure , and should ask that whether anyone in the organisation has observed the cause or have done it by themselves.
* During testing the causes : After identification of the causes it is important to test the cause as to fix the primarily and one correct cause for the failure. Analyst in this step should ask about the possible suggestions of the other as what they feel so he/she can narrow down the causes to certain less number and from then the analyst can easily find the root cause among all theoptions available.
* While establishing the action plan : Once the cause has been found the analyst proposes a suitable action plan as in what to to pacify the failure and to prevent future failures. In this step the system analyst can ask employes to follow the plan and also if they have any good suggestions to incresase the efficiency.
* Verifying full functionality of the system.
So the basic questions the analyst should ask :
- The symptoms the employees of the organisation is facing.
- The system time allocated to troubleshoot the problem.
- Probable causes the employess can identify.
- The future scope of the system and why the organisation cannot afford to have the same problem again in future.
