CHONDROMALACIA PATELLA
Answer: patella is the bone which is located in the frontside of the knee joint, or The other name for the this bone is kneecap.
There are so many injuries which will happens in the knee, like ligaments based injury, cartilages based injury etc. which also called as jumpers knee, runners knee, ligament tear etc...
In that this type of condition is called as Runners knee. Mostly this type of patella will occur to the person. Those who are using their lower limbs frequently or overuse of the lowerlimbs. For example we can say sports players like athletes will use theirs lower limbs more.
For that kind of person the, overuse Male the Articular cartilage weak and get worsen day by day while doing movements in the lower limb. When the cartilages damaged the patella bone will directly touches the femur bone.
This direct contact between patella and femur bone will leads to degeneration of the bone.
This will mainly resulted in the severe pain and there will some inflammation over the patella.
3 Guidelines :
1. stabilisation- mainly for the working clients they have to use body to go for one place other for example home to work place. In that time it will leads to severe pain. So they have to braces their knee joint to restrict some of the knee movements. It will prevent further degeration of the bone,.
2. They have avoid lifting heavy wieghts or to reduce prolonged walking or standing. and also rest their to reduce the swelling of the knee.
3. They can use ice packs to reduce the pain in the knee. For working clients they have to choose the mode of transport which make them to have less movements during travelling. According to their comfortability.
