What is hemodialysis and what is its function?
Hemodialysis acts as an artificial kidney by cleaning the blood by filtering out wastes. The hemodialysis is connected via a needle which pumps the blood inside the dialyzer which then cleans the blood just like a normal set of the kidney. Additionally, it checks the individual's blood pressure as well as it checks the potassium and sodium level. Filtered blood is then pumped back into the body.
