CPU stands for Central Processing Unit. It is the heart and soul of the computer and performs al the tasks in the computer. It is responsible for performing the basic arithmetic, logical, control and input/output (I/O) operations specified by the instructions. Without CPU, a computer can't work.

There are 2 components in CPU:

• ALU : It stands for arithmetic logic unit and is responsible for performing all the arithmetic and logical operations in the computer.
• Control unit : It helps to manage all the various components of the computer.
• Memory or Storage Unit : Used to access the different types of memory available in the computer.

GPU stands for Graphics Processing Unit. It is used with the CPU in order to accelerate deep learning, analytics, and engineering applications. It improves the quality of the graphics in the computer like render 3D graphics, which are comprised of polygons.

The main components of GPU are :

• the graphics processor :
• the video memory.
• the random access memory digital-to-analogue converter (RAMDAC)
• the driver software.
