Expert Solution

There are several data collection methods provided in the texts but one that I personally find really effective are Questionnaire Method.

Questionnaires are forms consisting of a number of questions that are answered. These are usually in multiple-choice format and can be filled out telephonically or face to face. These help provide data about the preferences of the people and what is their behavior towards certain products.

Strengths of this method :

1. Questionnaires are easier to approach with. They are easier to understand and data collection is smoother.

2. This method allows data collection at practically very cheap prices.

3. The analysis of data collected from this method is easier and quick results can be obtained.

Pitfalls:

1. Some people do not answer all the questions which may not provide the complete picture.

2. Sometimes answered recorded may not be honest as people are usually hassled when they are asked to fill out questionnaires.

3. This method is lacking in the way it is designed for all at once. Does not take into consideration the customization of questions which hamper the proper results.
