Hypothesis

A question/hypothesis can be tricky…and confusing! Before you can write a question and then the hypothesis, you must first ask yourself -What area of child development really intrigues me? Read the front inside cover of your book; discover which area of child development piques your interest and then formulate your hypothesis.  As a researcher you need to ask the question before a hypothesis can be formulated.

Later, in the semester, you will narrow down your topic and then focus on all information that pertains to this subject. The completion of this paper will be your Final.

A hypothesis is defined as "a prediction stated in a way that permits it to be tested" (Feldman, 2012, p.34). A hypothesis expresses the potential relationship between the variables in the research.

Example: A research question could be: "Can genetic testing ensure that all prenatal inherited and genetic disorders can be detected before the fetus is nine weeks?

And the hypothesis could be: "When genetic testing is done, all prenatal inherited and genetic disorders can be detected before the fetus is nine weeks" or "When genetic testing is done, all prenatal inherited and genetic disorders cannot be detected before the fetus is nine weeks." Your end goal (Final Paper) is to support your hypothesis with your research. Or you may find that your research does not support your hypothesis and that will be your conclusion.

Week Two Written Assignment-Writing a Hypothesis. This week you will need to decide on a hypothesis related to an area in Child Development that is of interest to you. Explain in 1/2 to a one-page paper what your hypothesis is and why you chose this specific area of Child Development to research.

Research question : "Can good parenting help the child to overcome ADHD(attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) without medical support?."

Hypothesis: When a child is suffering with ADHD, good parenting with proper guidence will definitely help him to overcome the problem with out psychiatry and medicine.

Explanation: Today so many kids all over world are suffering with a behavioral problem ADHD. Unfortunately these days the doctors (Pscychiatrists ) are treating this as a disease and giving them neurosupressive drugs. Actually it is causing lot of effects including detoriation of their IQ levels.  It is not a disease it is a behavioral disorder where the child is hyperactive,inattentive,distractive and impulsive.

Apart from these they are very active and fast learners. only they need some mental support.

Here the parents and teachers should take the role of a good mentor to understand

• their feelings.
• spend time with them
• make them feel confident
• encourage them in extra curricular activities like games and sports
• praise them for their good works

Finally make them aware of their strengths and skills.

so no need to depend on medication

Here are supporting points to my thesis

• Mark Twain ,the famous writer and
• Mozart, famous symphony composer suffered with ADHD during their childhood .

With the support of their families they did wonders in their lives.

So I am very much interested to search for a better check towards most threatening problem to kids world ,the  ADHD.

It can be treated with good parenting with out any medical support.
