-Define species interactions including predation, competition, mutualism, commensalism, parasitism. Include in your definitions an explanation of who benefits, who is harmed, and who is unaffected.
-Discuss the causes of random, clumped, and uniform dispersion patterns.
1.
In predation two organism interact each other, one act as predator and the other is prey. In predation, predator eat the prey. Example is lion(predator) and deer(prey).
Competition happens amoung two or more organism, where organism compete each other for limitig resource. competition can be interspecies or intra species. Example lion and tiger competing for prey.
Mutualism occurs between two different species, both wil get benefit from mutualism. Example is birds and zebra, bird will eat parasites present in zebra's body, bird get food, zeebra get rid of parasites.
Commensalism is the interaction between two species, in which one will get benefit, the will not get any bebefit or harm. Example is shark and remora, remora get protection and food.
Parasitism is the relation between two organism, where one(parasite) will harm the other(host). Example ticks and dog, ticks will take nutrients from dogs body.
2.
In random dispersion, the organism or individuals are randomly distributed, there wil not be any pattern. Wind dispersig seeds randomly over an area. In uniform dispersion organisms are uniformly distributed, there is a specific pattern. Uniform distribution is guided by interactions like territoriality. In clumped dispersion, organisms are grouped into clusters. Elephant herds in search of food and water.
