What is Power Pivot (in detail)?
Power View:
It is basically a technology that visualize data that helps us to create charts etc. Power view is used to create attractive visualization and report summaries of your worksheet it emphasize on variable that are useful to us in a separate worksheet.Element that can be added into power view are charts, maps, key performance indicator and hierarchy.To use power view for your data your data should be in tabular form. Select data and click on power view sheet when you click on that it will generate a power view but this require Silverlight by Microsoft.
Power Pivot:
There are total 1000000 rows if you have text file data is greater or equal to these total rows then how you will manage to analyze? not possible? Power pivot can do this. If you have 60000 rows data and you are calculating something like sum when you will start the process it will take so much time and it's a problem and PowerPivot is the solution and you do not have to VLOOKUP again and again.It is a feature which comes pre-installed in Excel 2013 onwards which is powerful in data analysis. Through power pivot we can create data models. With the help of Power Pivot, we can combine abundance amount of data from different locations and perform analysis efficiently and we can share insights easily.Power Pivot was introduced in Microsoft Excel 2010 after 2010 power pivot is already installed. You have to activate this Add ins. In excel option we can find this and by default it is inactive you have to activate it then you can see PowerPivot in your toolbars. In that you can import files from any source and there are variety of data type. By this you can add any big file into Excel Worksheet.You have to make sure your data is in proper table select your choice of data and form in PowerPivot option click on add to data model you can see a different tables side by side from different sheets. From diagram view you can connect tables. This will reduce VLOOKUP's or index match your data is connected.In PowerPivot we can write fast formula which will calculate our result quicker and accurate
