Chord, Bolero, Aria, Waltz, Ballad, Sonata, Baroque, Hymn, Pitch, Concerto, Key, Natura, Scale, Octave are some of the terms alllied with music that illustrate the depth and width of music in the context of its distinguished facets.
The inter-relatedness of the melodies in a song is termed as texture.
There are three kinds of texture- Monophony, Polyphony and Homophony.
Hearing is the mere perceiving the sound and it occurs effortlessly. Therefore, hearing only occurs/ happens.
But listening neeeds efforts and reflects the comprehension of the heard words/ terms/ sentences. Listening includes organised processing.
