What are the definition of the terms Leading, Managing and Following. Interpret the definition and in your own words, explain how the terms are interconnected and how they often play out in a clinical setting.
Answer: Leading:- When people follow you by being inspired by you in a way, then it is said that you are leading them. They are behind you and watching you always. Leaders make goals and ajendas for the followers for their betterment.
Managing:- When a person is making other people do their prescribed works with efficiency by keeping targets and outcomes in mind, then he is said to be managing his workers. People work for the managers and get paid for that. Managers manage the restricted or limited area of work where they further have people to do for them and get paid.
Following:- When people get inspired by someone or something they start going behind that or abide by that, which is said to be following. Following can also be defined as whatever thing coming behind.
In clinical practice or in nursing, these three aspects leading, managing and following are related to each other. In nursing practice, the nurses when come across any patient or his diagnosis, they tend to lead the chapter by making influential decisions for the patient, thereby getting faith of his family or other people around who are watching her. They all tend to follow her, and get inspired by her approach towards their patient. The nurse has the ability or teachings to manage all the running treatments time by time. The nurse is taught to be perfect in timings of treatment and approach towards the patient. This is how she is managing everything in regard to the patient and his family. The nurse also has the teachings to follow the rules, regulations of her organisation and to follow familie's cultures and decisions by being very precise and accurate in her work, so as to get the patient treated well and make him healthy again.
