self schemes would be the category of knowledge that would be reflecting the manner in which a person would be expecting themselves to be thinking, feeling as well as acting in certain settings or in situations. These would be includingthe knowledge of the past experiences . The overall perception of one self would be comprising of self schemes.

These could include personality traits to physical characteristics as well as the behaviour that a person would be having. Self schemes differ from one person to another and would be influenced by the past experiences that a person has had, this is also affected by the society.

Initial self schemes would be formed from the childhood in the manner in which a person would be brought up from their child hood. The self concept would be modified as a person would be meeting new people through the feedback that they would be receiving from other people. Also, the roles played by a person and their experiences from the friends, the parents, the CO workers as well as the siblings would be defining the manner in which they would be acting in a particular situation.

The individual self would only be influenced from the various perceptions that a person has from the various situations. In these situations, a person would be questioning themselves and their roles, and this defines the manner in which self schema and individuation would occur.
