Yes,I do think American culture is overly sexualized.The women are objectified and sexualized from a young age.Eventhough the women are independent and professionally driven,they do feel the pressure to conform to the unrealistic beauty standards.When they fall short of those beauty standards,they receive harsh criticisms which leads to self hatred and an over-sexualization of their appearances in a vain attempt to embody that image.
American females are way too concerned with the meeting the standards of perfection dictatated by men with little consideration for the impact that their judgment has on the opposite sex.
Young teenage girls use so much makeup today,they go for salon sessions,in a desperate attempt to look perfect and more attractive trying to meet the stupid standards of beauty.Also following strict diets and becoming obsessively involved in losing weight to have the perfect body,that they end up having no food and developing eating disorders and lack of self confidence.
Ofcourse,women in America are over-sexualized on a daily basis as a result of unrealistic body expectations that have been accepted and reinforced through the media and society alike.This has made women objects who need to comply with these standards to avoid any criticisms.It has become an insult to women,to judge them on the basis of their looks,giving them work on the basis of their physical appearance.
Oversexualization has also lead to women experiencing more eve-teasing,inappropriate touching and sexual comments because of which the MeToo movement was also started in America.Both the world and the women themselves are taught to pay more attention to beauty than character.
