Mortality rates
Norovirus: It is associated with an average of 797 deaths in 9 years 90% of these norovirus associated deaths and the highest mortality rate(0.20deaths/10,000 population) occured among persons greater than or equal to 65 years of age
Coronavirus: World wide confirmed case=21,58,033
Recovered case=5,43,732 , Death=1,44,221. The death rate from confirmed covid-19 cases turned out to be 1.38 percent. Death rate for over all cases between 0.2% &8% and the death rate for overall cases between 0.2% and 1.6%
West nile virus: The overall mortality rate was 14% and the mortality rate in patients aged greater than or equal to 65 years was 35%. Increased age was associated with an increassed mortality rate.
Monkeypox: Cases of monkeypox in humans are rare and usually zoonotic. Through the mid 1980s, estimates of the human-to-human transmission rate ranged from 3.3% to 30%. Estimates of the case-fatality rate for monkeypox in Africa vary from1% to 15% with the highest risk of death in young children. In one study of 300 patients in democratic republic of congo, the over all mortality rate was 10% and the mortality rate in unvaccinated children was 15-20%.
Rift valley fever: The total case fatality rate has varied widely between epidermics but, overall, has been less than 1% in those documented. Most fatalities occur in patients who develop the haemorrhagic icterus form.
