"HOT-SWAPPABLE" :- The word hot swappable is often used in electronics and computers, hot is referred to as "active" OR "ON". So these are peripheral or device or component which can be added or removed while a computer is running.
Replacing a device when a computer or electronic device is powered on is referred as hot swapping.
Google DNS server 8.8.8.8 or openDNS must be having more than a terabyte , you local ISP might running it off at 16 GB server. so ,its more of a load dependent thing ,rather than a general DNS server specific configuration.

MAC address is the physical address of the computer whereas IP is the logical address.
Mac address cant be found by third party whereas IP address can be found by third party.
