In: Anatomy and Physiology
Please read the numbered line story below. Based upon your knowledge and understanding of anatomy and physiology as presented in this course, please provide comprehensive responses to each question presented.
*each number represents the line that is stated in the question below. Use the specific line to answer those questions using the knowledge about the A&P.
QUESTION 5
Please discuss the division of the peripheral nervous system that is likely most critically active in line 14.
QUESTION 6
Line 3 is demonstrative of an important characteristic of life. Please identify and provide an appropriate discussion of this important characteristic of life.
QUESTION 7
Please provide a detailed discussion of the physiology most likely associated with lines 15, 16, and 18.
QUESTION 8
Lines number 4 and 5 are demonstrative of at least two critical functions of the nervous system. Please provide a brief discussion of those two functions.
QUESTION 5
Please discuss the division of the peripheral nervous system that is likely most critically active in line 14.
The division of PNS included in line 14 is autonomic nervous system.PNS is divided into somatic and ANS. ANS comprises sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system. The physiological event mentioned in line 14 is innervated by sympathetic nervous system or flight-or-fight response.
QUESTION 6
Line 3 is demonstrative of an important characteristic of life. Please identify and provide an appropriate discussion of this important characteristic of life.
The major characteristic mentioned in line 3 is responsiveness to the environment/stimuli.
Human eye takes minutes to hours to get adapted to darkness. It roes by adjusting the optimal sensitivity to low light conditions. The quicket vision gain after few minutes of darkness is aided by rhodopsin, a photopigment used by rods.
QUESTION 7
Please provide a detailed discussion of the physiology most likely associated with lines 15, 16, and 18.
Muscle fatigue. Adrenaline rush due to percieved threat causes vasoconstriction throughout the body which makes lesser availability of blood to muscles leads to aches and heavier.
QUESTION 8
Lines number 4 and 5 are demonstrative of at least two critical functions of the nervous system. Please provide a brief discussion of those two functions.
The critical functions of nervous system mentioned in line 4 and 5 are sensory input and information processing and the another major function of NS also include motor output. Peripheral nervous system responsible for sensory input and motor input via afferant and efferent nerves. PNS convey the information to CNS regarding the state of the body and the external environment for processing of insformation and to recieve instructions.
