Pilots are playing key role in doing operation on multiple dies and we can trace the faulty design existed in press lines. Or Pilots In Progressive dies are used in order to get back the stock into the correct position for successive operations i.e. blanking or Piercing operations.

While applying the pilots, they must and should strong enough so repeated shock will not cause any fracture the dies.

And also the main purpose of pilots is the pilot positions the stock strip relation with die opening.

Stock Stop :-
