Sketch constant preassure curve in T-s diagram.

Sketch constant preassure curve in T-s diagram.

Solutions

Expert Solution

The constant pressure and constant volume processes are given by curved lines on t-s diagram and the slope of constant volume process is greater than constant pressure on a t-s plot.

As we can see from the above figure that -

(1) On heat addition process the temperature increases and so does the entropy.

(2) On heat rejection process the temperature decreases and so does the entropy.

Which means that the temperature and entropy are the properties that are associated with the heat changes that take place in a system.

Sketch the curve given by the parametric equation x= tan(t) , y=sec (t) for -pi/2 < t < pi/2. Eliminate the parameter "t" and find the Cartesian form of this curve. What type of curve is this? What curve would be good if "t" belong to the interval (pi/2, 3pi/2)?
