What is the definition of stoichiometric coefficients?
Answer :-
Stoichiometric coefficient (v) :-
In a balanced reaction, both sides of the equation have the same number of elements. The stoichiometric coefficient is the number appearing before the symbol for each compund in the equation for a chemical reaction.By convention, it is negative for reactants and positive for products This stoichiometric coefficients are useful since they establish the mole ratiobetween reactants and products.
Example :- by considering the following reaction,
The stoichiometric coefficient of CH4 is -1
The stoichiometric coefficient of O2 IS -2
The stoichiometric coefficient of CO2 is 1
The stoichiometric coefficient of H2O is 2
