A university research group discovered a new class of compounds (unique structures) that could be useful for the treatment of Parkinson’s Disease. What advantages/disadvantages would there be in terms of ultimately moving a drug to the market if the new class of compounds was patented and published at this time?

Solutions

Expert Solution

The new drug for the treatment of Parkinson disease reaction by 3 modes.
1- drug as substitute of dopamine.
2 - drug which block the enzyme responsible for breaking of dopamine.
3- drug which stimulate the nerve cell for releasing dopamine.
The new drug of any of the category is helpful for treatment of Parkinson disease. Permanent cure is not possible in Parkinson disease but symptom based treatment can be held with this new medicine.
That disadvantage of new medicine maybe nausea vomiting, balancing problem. The new medicine can damage liver, kidney and special effect on the physiology of other Nerve cells.

Provide the code segment need to DECLARE an array of structures that could store information about a group of US Passports. Do not write a program or worry about initializing the structure, all I am looking for is a set of structure types whose combined members would hold all the information found in a password, AND any supporting structures. Be careful on how you declare the members of a structure. Grading will be based on the flexibility of your design...

(ABC) A new computer costs $1,200,000. This cost could be depreciated at 30% per year (Class 10). The computer would actually be worth $110,000 in five years. The new computer would save $523,000 per year before taxes and operating costs. Suppose the new computer requires us to increase net working capital by $62,500 when we buy it. If we require a 12% return, what is the NPV of the purchase? Assume a tax rate of 40%. (Do not round intermediate...

A research lab has developed a new instructional technique for statistics. They chose five class topics and completed five separate studies. For each study, they selected a new sample of students, used the new technique to teach the specific topic, then gave the sample of students a test on that topic. Below are the mean test scores for each of the five studies, along with the population means for students taking the test after the 'traditional' instructional technique. For each...
