Destination address Source address
Hi, I would love to answer this question for you. I hope you would love the answer and get a clear view related to the same. So not wasting much time let's get started.
Destination Address:- a720.e100.12b0
Source Address:- 1d2a.fe08.112a
During the time of the routing, there are two types of routing and the packet goes accordingly. The source and the destination address in the packet do not define the route and router routes. So when the route is given to the packet it is the static routing and all the hops (router addresses) are mentioned to be followed by the packet to reach the destination address.
When the full path is not provided by the router it defines only the network connected to it and this is dynamic routing. The next router checks the other next address to be transmitted and in this way, the packet reaches its destination according to the different protocols been used in the dynamic routing.
I hope you got a clear view of an answer and I have generalized the answer for any source or destination address.
Please give thumbs up to an answer and do comment for any queries
Thanks and Happy to help :)
