Tell me two differences and one common ideal shared between Buffon and Linnaeus.
Solution:-
The two difference between Linnaeus and Buffon are:-
1) Linnaeus had a biblical understanding of nature, thought species survived unchanged from god's creation in garden of eden. While Buffon thought it was rediculous to imagine this as god being very busy with the way a beetle's wings should fold. He believed that species are group of animals that were breeding together and change with time.
2) Linnaeus was inventing classification while Buffon was more interested in habitat and behavior.
One common ideal shared between them is:-
1) Linnaeus and Buffon both shared the ideal on evolution. Species are group of organism that reproduce and have fertile offsprings.
