Responsibilities of HR department
Compliance with labor laws
Human resource department is responsible for managing the workforce and also responsible to comply with labor laws such as compliance with maximum number of working hours, break between working hours, minimum age of employment and minimum wages.
Training and recruitment
Human resource department is primarily responsible for hiring and firing of employees. HR department conducts interviews for recruiting new employees and also responsible for providing training to the new employees so that they can understand the work properly and become productive for the organization.
Payroll management
HR department is responsible for the management of payroll in small organizations. HR department is also responsible for timely payment of salaries to the employees and keeping records of employee leaves and attendance.
employer employee relations
HR department is responsible for retaining the employees in the organisation. In case of any dispute between manager and the employee than HR department plays a vital role in resolving disputes in the organisation.
Records keeping and tax compliance
HR department is responsible for keeping the records such as employee's individual income tax forms, employee's insurance records, company's licenses. HR department is also responsible for the compliance with tax laws such filing timely returns and paying taxes to the government in accordance with applicable tax laws.
