Directions: As part of the learning activities, you performed a web search on company celebrations. Consider what your current employer does, or a previous employer did, to recognize extraordinary accomplishments and answer the following questions:

• How does your company celebrate its values and victories? How do these celebrations compare to what you found in your web search?
• How effective are the recognition or celebration experiences within the organization?
• What could the company do better in recognizing employees?
• What would you do for your employees as a manager or leader? Would you stick with the organization's efforts, or do something different? Explain.

A) The some of the ways that my company celebrates the victories are as follows:

• Other way that my company celebrates is by having a big bell fixed in the company’s common area & when somebody accomplishes something, they go & have a gong on big bell fixed in common area. By doing so all employees in company would come to know that a certain individual has accomplished something.
• Having shout outs by team members on accomplishment of a particular job or for victory in a particular assignment.
• Other way of celebration is having theme music for every individual person. When that particular person succeeds, the theme music of that particular person could be played for say 20 seconds.

B) These kinds of celebrations in company are effective. Everybody has a feeling that they are getting recognized for activity that they are performing. This kind of celebrations recognitions motivates them to achieve greater heights within organization.

C) Apart from morale boosting celebrations company could also reward employees financially also. Employees would be more satisfied, if they had an increase in monetary benefit, because of their accomplishments.

D) As a manager & leader, for most of things I would stick to say how company is managing things. It is important for manager to fall in line with culture & operating processes within organization. I would do something different only to boost morale of employee but completely within framework that presented in organization.
