Expert Solution

In this scenario after car accident the patient got complete cut of spinal cord at T9 level . this can lead to paraplegia .Since T9 vertebra communicate directly with adrenal glands damaged cause severe symptoms in kidney area

· There will be lack of motor function of leg and lower trunk.

· There would be lack of bladder and bowel control.

· They will have balance in sitting position but they cannot walk without braces or walking frame.

· They can breathe normally, feed by themselves,

· Use arm ,chest and upper back independently

· Main nerve affect the buttocks and lower abdominal muscles

· Partial loss of lower trunk and abdominal control.

Since it is a complete cut at T9 there would be complete loss of sensory or motor function below the level of injury
