Why do we make policies?

Solutions

Expert Solution

We make policies for various reasons. Firstly, because it helps in designing a framework within which the work or activities are expected to be performed and duties to be discharged. Policies act as a guidelines to the employees and to the citizens at large, depending upon the type of policy we are referring to, thereby ensuring smoother procession of activities. Secondly, Policies also help us understand the technicalities and the legal angles to any activity. It is very essential for the people or even for the group of institutions such as Charitable trusts, Corporate, etc. to working within the legal aspect. Any discrepancy in the activities may end up exposing ourselves to actions by the Court. Thirdly, policies ensures discipline in the working scenario. Without definite policies in place, people may lose their orientation and get directionless. Policies control our actions in a definite way.
