-Recall the bar scene. He tells his friends "If we all go for the blonde, we block each other." Was he right? How successful mathematical modeling portraits humans? Why and why not?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Yes I remember that epic scene from the movie where Nash equilibrium is first explained in the movie which is the bar scene. In that scene what Nash tells is right Nash equilibrium is applicable everywhere even to Humans because Nash equilibrium is always the probability of an event to occur. So to Change the occurrence of that event people have to change their strategy for their own benefit which is called dominant strategy or weak strategy.

The same thing he will tell in that bar scene if we all go for the blonde that probability of one attracting her will be less which means they are blocking each other. More the chance of outcome less the dominance of our strategy. So if you want to have a dominant strategy think for a better solution.

Any mathematical model always protray human nature and behaviour as it shows how humans will think a do a thing when it is complicated as it is been made by a human.
