Macro segmentation approach is refer to when market is classified into variables like organizational and industry variables. Macro segmentation is work on the available data like customer location, company sales, organizational size, Number of employees, geographical segmentation etc.

Many of the organizations use the macro segmentation in the Business to Business marketing. Which will help them to use the existing data. Which is already available in the market. Macro segmentation approach help the business to save their cost and give them information or available data. like type of the customer, total size of the customer, location of the customer. This approach is more beneficial and less costly as compared to micro-segmentation. By using the Macro segmentation approach, B2B marketing team can save their time and cost by working on the available data. Which help them in their decision making and to target the customer.
