Why is it important to learn about domestic violence?

One of the most prevalent and hidden violence is domestic violence. Many people, especially women and children go through domestic violence and most of which are not reported. So, learning about domestic violence will help one not getting involved in domestic violence or make anyone victim of domestic violence. Although domestic violence is covered by all the countries’ laws, most people are not aware of it, besides people are bound by emotions and relationships. So, not many people go to police station or court to report these violence. So, learning about domestic violence becomes very important.

Why is it important to do a research on this topic?

Many people hesitate to report domestic violence and even media don’t get many reports unless it’s very huge. So, not many people are aware of the laws related to domestic violence and rights and protection the victim has. So, it becomes very important to interview people who are affected by domestic violence, collect data through surveys and publish those reports. It’s important to do a research on this topic because it’s relatively new field and many people will benefit from these research. The society might also become more aware of it.
