The spindle speed for T2 is given. Describe in detail a way that the spindle speed could be calculated with only the dynamometer data, basic information about the tools and analysis methods.
he spindle speed is the rotational frequency of the spindle of the machine, measured in revolutions per minute (RPM). In machining, spindle speeds, also called “cutting speeds”, are extremely important for tool life, part finishes and over all part quality. The basic equation used to calculate the proper RPM for machining is as follows: RPM = (cutting speed x 12)/(pi x diameter) Where the cutting speed is in feet/min and the diameter is in inches.
I have attached with the formulas of the speed and feeds required for the calculation of the spindle speed.
The cutting force is measured with the designed full bridge strain gauge based dynamometer. An analogue strain gauge dynamometer capable of measuring the cutting force during turning is designed and developed. In order to read and save the cutting forcedata automatically on a computer during metal cutting, a data acquisition system with the essential hardware and software is also arranged and connected to the developed dynamometer. The acquiredcutting force data is then used for the further analysis.
