Script kiddies and jokester crackers are two classic example of how digital platform becomes a safe haven for fraudulent activites.

Jokster crackers refers to a person who intentionally accesses a computer, or network of computers, for the intention of destroying or stealing information.Usually crackers have very advanced computer and networking skills allowing them to develop scripts or programs to help them attack computer systems and networks. They are mostly interested in cracking game codes and they're release these stuff for free online. Sometimes they'll sell the pirated copies to make money, but generally it's available for free online via file-sharing services like BitTorrent. They may also demand ransome keeping the captured datas as leverage and blakmailing the owner

Script kiddies use hacking tools randomly and with little regard or perhaps even understanding of the potentially harmful consequences. These script kiddies usually have very limited computer skills and can be quite immature, trying to effect large numbers of attacks in order to obtain attention and notoriety.

Script kiddies have at their possession a large number of effective, easily downloadable programs capable of breaching computers and networks. Such programs include remote denial-of-service WinNuke, trojans, Back Orifice, NetBus and Sub7 vulnerability scanner/injector kit Metasploitand often software intended for legitimate security auditing.

Script kiddies vandalize websites both for the thrill and to increase their reputation among their peers. Some more malicious script kiddies have used virus toolkits to create and propagate the Anna Kournikova and Love Bug viruses.Script kiddies lack, or are only developing, programming skills sufficient to understand the effects and side effects of their actions. As a result, they leave significant traces which lead to their detection, or directly attack companies which have detection and countermeasures already in place, or in some cases, leave automatic crash reporting turned on.

One of the most common types of attack utilized by script kiddies involves a form of social engineering, whereby the attacker somehow manipulates or tricks a user into sharing their information. This is often done through the creation of fake websites where users will input their login, thus allowing the script kiddie access to the account.

Both the script kiddies an jokester cracker ear money by hacing into a secured platform and retrieve valauble date in return of a lump som amount of money.
