Social media marketing is nothing but marketing via online where several information and details regarding products ,article ,tools , programmes are shared ,liked and advertised where not so many restrictions are there as so many people easily advertise or post anything that is may or may not be related to us .There are several advantages and disadvantages with the social media marketing .They are

3) We can get honest responses from customers regarding the products that helps us fix any problems are there .We can describe the product's features and analyse its functions there itself.

5) the most important thing about social media marketing is that it is cost effective and time saving where we need not to go to everyone and describe the product details ,we can simply put a description on the page .

2) When a particular customer doesn't like our product he openly writes it down under the 'reviews' section which may reduce our sales if other customers take it too seriously .We can't prevent complaints as it results in losing our brand's trust.
3) People need to be trained to do social media advertising if not it may result in serious outcomes .For example if a person is not so good at editing ,and if misinterprets the description then all our customers not even look at our products until we fix them and make an announcement.
4)The problem with social media marketing is the the level of uncertainty as we are unsure of our marketing strategies bring us required sales . We may get or may not get them owing to our publicity .So we can't trust social media marketing blindly .So we have concentrate on other forms of Promotions too.
5)It lacks the connection with people .In market we can have bargaining facility ,we can know complete details of the product, we even test it once to make sure the product is good for use .In digital marketing it is not available.
6)There is a threat of unauthenticated information put on the description where we are tend to be decieved . There is also a risk of our falling for spurious goods . Nowadays most of the mobiles, TV sets etc electronic goods are being manipulated where we may tend to buy duplicate products if we blindly follow social media.
7) It is tough to handle the whole social media marketing campaign as we have to come with updated ideas and novel features if not we will fall behind other products .
8) If our social media marketing is ineffective then it will be really difficult to maintain it owing to less sales and he high rates of maintenance.
9) Maintenance of data acquires is an uphill task as we have keep note on every particular advice , suggestions and remarks given by customers and act accordingly.
10)we shouldn't fall prey to the exposure and marketing of competitive world as open information is available to one and all there will be a risk of copying it.

14) social media advertising comes up with different advertisements that may not go well with some section of customers .For example if an a fairness cream advertisement is posted it may offend the blacks as beauty doesn't lie in colour .If we post an advertisement in which a Muslim woman is not wearing a burkha then it raises communal feelings in Muslims , so there are several risks involved in it where we have to keep note of every section before making an advertisement.
