1. Celibacy can be defined as the abstinence of sex for the entire lifetime. It can be a state where the person does not practice any forms of sex be it penetrative or non-penetrative. Even masturbation is not performed. The different types of celibacy are:
a. Sacerdotal celibacy practiced by priets or holy people in a way to be closer to God and be highly elevated than ordinary people.
b. Monasticism practiced by monks to gain iner freedom and spiritual advancement.
c. Institutional celibacy in women which helps them to stay virgin and attain spiritual goals.
The main reasons why people become celibate are to become closer to God, have a greater understanding of inner self, be spiritually and morally advanced. It helps the people to feel more empowered.
Women prefer to be celibate now not to be close to religion but rather to be healthy and happy. It is a massive relief to stay away from sex. It reduces addiction and keeps them mentally well.
2. Erotic dreams and fantasies are normal in any human being who have reached adulthood or sexual maturity. They are just expressions of the persons desires or anxiety. These erotic dreams can be fulfilled with your partner and are nothing to be ashamed of. They are just suppressed or hidden desires of the person which manifest itself through dreams.
